2024 Season
For the 2024 season there will be 14 teams.
- All teams will be entered into a new team knockout format
- The league itself will be split into 2 divisions.
- The season will start on Tuesday 9th July with the pool phases of the Mac Turner Team Knockout Competition
- Division 1 League fixtures will start on Tuesday 7th May
- The Presidents Cup will be played on Tuesday 9th July at Bewdley Cricket Club
- The knockout stages of the Mac Turner Team Knockout Competition will start on Tuesday 3rd September
- Quarter-finals: Tuesday 3rd September
- Semi-finals: Tuesday 10th September
- Finals: Tuesday 17th September
- Finals of the doubles and singles knockout competition will be played on Tuesday 24th September
League Structure 2024
- There will be 2 leagues
- Division 1 will consist of 7 teams
- Division 2 will consist of 7 teams
- Each team will play each other home and away in the league
- Division 1 teams will have 12 league games
- Division 2 teams will have 12 league games
- There will be up and 2 down and the end of the 2023 league season. The winners and runners-up of the 2023 league 2 will be promoted to league 1 and the bottom placed team in league 1 will be relegated to league 2
- Footloose the winners of 2023 Division 2 will be promoted to League 1
- Bewdley PC 'B' the runners-up of 2023 Division 2 will be promoted to League 1
- Top Pub, the last placed team in 2023 Division 1 will be relegated to League 2
- K.C.R.F.C have renamed to Bewdley Wayfarers and will be based at Bewdley Cricket Club
- We welcome a new Lakes team into the league so we will have 14 teams for 2024
- Lakes 'C' have been renamed to Lakes Renegades, Lakes 'D' have been renamed to Lakes Admirals and the new team is Lakes Phoenix
- League 1 will consist of Lakes Admirals, Lakes Renegades, Kinver Con Club, Nomads, Footloose, Bewdley PC 'B' and Alveley Royals
- League 2 will consist of the Top Pub, Bewdley P.C. 'A', Bewdley Wayfarers, Bewdley Institute, Lakes Phoenix, Oaks and Claverley Lions
Team Knockout 2024
- The Team Knockout will be in two stages, a pool stage and a knockout stage
- There will be a single pool of 14 teams
- Each team will play 4 games, this will be the 2 teams above them and 2 teams below them in the initial draw
- The initial draw was taken at the SVPL 2024 registration meeting on
- The draw for Team Knockout pools was undertaken at the 2023 registration meeting on Tuesday 27th February

- Each team will play 2 home and 2 away in the pool stages
- The top 8 teams at the end of the pool stages will enter the knockout stages
- The draw for the knockstages will take place upon completion of the pool stages
- During the pool stages all games in a match need to be completed as the final positions will be decided by points, then games difference and if required, points difference
- During the knockout stages, the first team to 4 games is the winner
- There will be no Team Plate Competition
2024 Singles/Doubles/Triples Competitions
- Singles, doubles and triples competitions will be ran as normal by the SVPL
- The singles plate competition will only be ran if 16 or more entries are received in the main singles competition
- The doubles plate competition will only be ran if 16 or more entries are received in the main doubles competition
