2025 Season

For the 2025 season there will be 13 teams.

• All teams will be entered into the Mac Turner team knockout format
• The league itself will be split into 2 divisions. 

• The season will start on Tuesday 8th July with the pool phases of the Mac Turner Team Knockout Competition
• Division 1 League fixtures will start on Tuesday 13th May
• The Presidents Cup will be played on Tuesday 1st July at Bewdley Cricket Club
• The knockout stages of the Mac Turner Team Knockout Competition will start on Tuesday 2nd September
  
  • Quarter-finals: Tuesday 2nd September
  • Semi-finals: Tuesday 9th September
  • Finals: Tuesday 16th September
• Finals of the doubles and singles knockout competition will be played on Tuesday 23rd September

League Structure 2025

• There will be 2 leagues
  • Division 1 will consist of 7 teams
  • Division 2 will consist of 6 teams
• Each team will play each other home and away in the league
• Division 1 teams will have 12 league games
• Division 2 teams will have 10  league games
• There will be 1 up and 1 down and the end of the 2025 league season. The winners of the 2025 league 2 will be promoted to league 1 and the bottom placed team in league 1 will be relegated to league 2
• Lakes Phoenix the winners of 2024 Division 2 will be promoted to League 1
• Bewdley PC 'B', the last placed team in 2024 Division 1 will be relegated to League 2
• League 1 will consist of Lakes Admirals, Lakes Renegades, Lakes Phoenix, Kinver Con Club, Nomads, Footloose  and Alveley Royals
• League 2 will consist of Bewdley PC 'A', Bewdley PC 'B'. Bewdley Wayfarers, Bewdley Institute, Oaks and Claverley Lions

Team Knockout 2025

• The Team Knockout will be in two stages, a pool stage and a knockout stage
• There will be a single pool of 13 teams
• Each team will play 4 games, this will be the 2 teams above them and 2 teams below them in the initial draw 
• The initial draw was taken at the SVPL 2025 registration meeting on Tuesday 25th February

• Each team will play 2  home and 2 away in the pool stages
• The top 8 teams at the end of the pool stages will enter the knockout stages
• The draw for the knockout stages will take place upon completion of the pool stages
• During the pool stages all games in a match need to be completed as the final positions will be decided by points, then games difference and if required, points difference
• During the knockout stages, the first team to 4 games is the winner
• There will be no Team Plate Competition 

2025 Singles/Doubles/Triples Competitions

• Singles, doubles and triples competitions will be ran as normal by the SVPL
• The singles plate competition will only be ran if 16 or more entries are received in the main singles competition
• The doubles plate competition will only be ran if 16 or more entries are received in the main doubles competition

 No food needs to be provided this season after matches.
