An enjoyable day's boules were had by all who took part in the Barbara Parkes Mixed Doubles Tournament, at the Royal Oak, Alveley, on Sunday 1st August 2010. Sixteen teams competed, with the first part of the Tournament being on a "round robin" basis with four leagues of four teams. The winners and runners up of the leagues then played in a knock-out competition.

Congratulations to the Tournament winners for 2010, Karen Brockhouse (from the Longlanders league team) & Romain Olivier (The Oaks), who beat Paula James & Iwan Mills (Longlanders). Iris Barford (Bewdley Royals) & David Voysey (Le Royal Oak) won the play-off for third place, beating Jo & John Hawkes (Kinver Cons), which coincidently were the 2009 winners against the 2008 champions!

The Champions for 2010 were presented with the Barbara Parkes Memorial Trophy with a £30.00 cash prize. The runners up received a cash prize of £15.00 and the third placed team awarded two bottles of wine donated by the Royal Oak Pub.
